Exterior

Like dusk photography, exterior photography needs sunlight in the right position to capture the main features of the property at their best. The time of day chosen to photograph your home is extremely important.

The direction of the front of the home needs to be determined first. Secondly if you have a pool, a courtyard or landscaped gardens you need to take note of the time of the day the sun is hitting these areas.

Make sure neighbouring trees are not casting large shadows over your yard or pool. North facing homes can be photographed generally all day round 9am till 4pm. East facing homes between 9am and 12pm.

West facing homes between 1pm and 4pm. South facing homes should be photographed when it is cloudy to reduce the amount of sun glaring over the roof casting shadows on the front. Please view the samples above of some of our best work.
